Can Hypnotherapy Help Get Rid of My Fears?

It is estimated that more than 90% of all adults have at least one intense fear. For some it is as extreme as crowds and for others it is a seemingly silly fear like a cat or bird. Though it may sound silly to the person that has the fear it can be debilitating. Regardless of why the person has established the fear they commonly react the same to their feared situation. In most cases the reason for the fear is buried deep inside the brain stemming back from an earlier experience or association in life.
Past Times – Cause Present Fears
In every persons life there is a situation or circumstance that has caused them to feel a certain way or associate two things together. Just as a small child learns to associate the Golden Arches of McDonalds with a happy meal others associate things that may cause fears in their every day lives. Most of the time the individual can remember a traumatic experience, association or behavior that led to their fear. It is easier to understand if the person has some recollection of the situation, but in some cases the person may not remember anything at all. In fact several people suffering from fears really do not have any idea where their fear came from. And, this is where hypnotherapy can help them, not only uncover the root of the fear, but eliminate it all together.
Hypnotherapy To Uncover The Root
During the hypnotherapy session the trained Hypnotherapist guides the client through their stored memories to uncover the root of their fear. It may go decades into the past or as simple as a scratch on the surface. Since the memory, awareness and senses are heightened during the practice of hypnosis the individual can easily access memories that may have been repressed. It is not uncommon when a person experiences a negative or traumatic experience to repress or “hide” that experience. With a great deal of concentration or guidance from the hypnotherapist this memory can be accessed and replaced. When the memory is challenged it can be put into proper perspective, therefore calming or easing the fear.
With the help of the hypnotherapist the individual is then able to learn to cope with this negative event and relax themselves. One of the troubles with fears is that the person automatically tenses, blood pressure rises and the fear-stress behavior becomes a vicious cycle. At this point the “fear” response is not because of the “item or event” it is simply a habit triggered by a particular thought, saying, sight or smell. Hypnotherapy helps the individual regain control of their thoughts, senses and control them to reduce this cycle.
What About Irrational Fears
No fear is a small fear. They all illicit the same panic, stress and automatic reaction regardless of how small they may be. The fear of a clown may sound petty or nominal to one person, but to another it is phenomenal. It is important to understand that hypnotherapy is not a practice of evaluating or ranking fears or disorders. It is an uncovering of the true memories, thoughts or behaviors behind that fear, so it works regardless of the fear level.

Can Hypnosis Save My Relationship?

When couples are experiencing turmoil in their relationship it can be anything but pleasant. Though in many cases each of the couple feels like they are right, most of the time they are a part of the problem as well. No one is perfect and if a person does not continually improve themselves they fall prey to issues with their self esteem, shyness, depression, and anger. This causes a decrease in communication, attention, and an overall negative effect on their love life. This can be prevented if the couple or each individual separately is willing to improve themselves, admit problems as well as move past them.
Believe it or not one of the leading causes of divorce and trouble in relationships is the past. Baggage can weight down a marriage or relationship to the point of drowning. Nearly every person enters a relationship with some type of “baggage” from past relationships, childhood or daily living experiences. One of the best examples is when a person is not trusting or suspicious of their partners every move. This may have been the case in the past relationship with infidelity, but it can ruin a new relationship very quickly. Hypnotherapy is designed to help the couple or individual move past that hurt. By entering the subconscious and dealing with those thoughts, feelings and irrational fears it allows the person to enjoy the company of their new relationship.
Hypnotherapy not only helps ease the pain of the past, but also can help a person gain confidence, restore sexuality, ease pain, open communication and many other critical issues to a relationship. Sometimes issues such as low self esteem or self consciousness can lead to serious problems in a relationship. Hypnotherapy can help a person achieve inner peace, while allowing their mind to erase negative or critical thoughts and feelings. After restoring positive affirmation and thought to the mind the couple can move past negativity into a positive relationship.
The leading goal of hypnotherapy is to allow the individual to explore the past and then let go. Turning loose of old wounds or hurt can be extremely difficult. After all it has been stored in the mind for many years and without entering the subconscious it is relatively impossible to release. Hypnotherapy allows the individual to access their internal thoughts and wiring to say goodbye to those painful or unhealthy memories. Regardless of whether or not the past is hindering a relationship, releasing those memories is healthy for the individual. They can cause not only emotional distress, but research has proven trauma can also affect the health of the individual. All the more reason to deal with the past and then turn it loose, releasing the negativity.
Hypnosis or hypnotherapy also works for couples or individuals wishing to enhance their relationship. There does not have to be trouble in paradise before hypnotherapy can assist a couple. By learning to control negative or unhealthy thoughts and feelings the couple can enjoy an uninhibited sex life, and close emotional bond. Hypnosis can be used as a tool to help a couple move to a deeper understanding of one another and use it to deepen their commitment to one another. This can be achieved because there are often what professionals call “roadblocks” or inhibitors in relationships. These so called “roadblocks” are mental thoughts, feelings or fears that do not allow the relationship to progress past a certain point. Hypnotherapy allows the couple to explore their thoughts and replace or remove any blocks that may be a potential hazard to their relationship.

Does Hypnotherapy Really Help With Depression?
21. March 2008 by admin.
By Yoshie Chihara-Want, C.Ht.
One of the most difficult things to combat is the unknown. Whether it is an individual or a country at large, not knowing a cause of negativity is by far worse. The reason is because what is unknown is very difficult to change sometimes even impossible. While there are a number of reasons for depression, most stem from the individuals feelings of loss or negative thoughts. Where these come from are sometimes easy to determine, but most often are caused from years of pent up anger and frustration. Read on to learn how hypnotherapy can change sad feelings to positive ones.
Though hypnotherapy is not a cure all or miracle it is very effective at changing an individual’s feelings and behavior. How we as people feel about particular events or situations can lead us to either a happy feeling or sad ones. Over the years of all these feelings sometimes the negative stack up and end up “de-pressing” the individual. This is often a sign that the individual is not effectively dealing with issues that are happening, therefore committing them to the unconscious mind. As humans this is normal, but it can cause depression, stress and added stress that can lead to a life of unhappiness as well as health problems.
Hypnotherapy can assist the individual in finding the events, situations or sources of their depression. There may be more than one and in most cases there are several. It may have been the loss of someone that was loved or a bad break up with an ex-lover. Whatever the reason, these feelings need to be put into perspective to relive the depression or feelings of helplessness. By entering into the hypnotic session the person is able to safely explore the reserves and stores of the memory. After uncovering these memories they can then bring them into the light and deal with them effectively. After they are dealt with they are not forgotten, but simply placed in the proper perspective.
Finding the root of the depression is the most important step in treatment. Trying to change or correct what is unknown is next to impossible and hypnotherapy is the only way to access the stores of the brain. Now some might be concerned about brining up a difficult event or situation and relieving it in their mind. That is the reason that a trained hypnotherapist is very important in the session. They are there to guide the situation and help the individual gain control of these feelings. Facing the situation and dealing with it is what it takes to remove the negativity. This relieves stress, frustration and anger that keep the person from living a fulfilling life.
Hypnotherapy can be used for depression at all stages. It is safe, effective and a proven method. Individuals that have undergone hypnotherapy report that they feel better, more in control and have a higher self esteem after leaving treatment. Gaining control and putting past events into their appropriate place in the mind is important to health and well being.

If losing weight were easy everyone in the world would be slim and trim. Unfortunately losing weight is a difficult task that can be limited and blocked by a number of things. Not only is the body and mind responsible for the number on the scale, but environment plays a role as well. Over the past several years, though scientists have not found a cure or reason for obesity, they have detailed the brains role in weight. There are a million different theories, diets and ways to lose weight, but most fail miserably. The reason for the failure is these individuals are purchasing products and memberships to weight loss facilities, but they are not tackling the root of the problem. This article will cover some of the basics of weight loss and how hypnotherapy can help a person lose weight and keep it off.
What Causes A Person To Be Obese
That sounds funny, but yet if people really knew, wouldn’t they correct the problem to achieve the body of their dreams? Of course they would, but they have never uncovered the reason that they carry the extra weight. Since everyone is different it would be impossible to have a generic reason. Some people eat for emotional reasons, other enjoy the food and for some it is a release just like smoking or alcohol for others. In a number of cases these individuals may not even realize why the overeat. It is not easy and that is why these individuals are frustrated and remain over weight. In order to discover what is hidden in their unconscious mind they must gain entrance, explore and uncover those conflicts. Here is more about how to uncover what is keeping you over weight.
Past Issues, Hurts and Emotions
Hypnotherapy is a process in which an individual is guided through their memories, past emotions and life struggles. Now that does not sound very pleasant, but just as a computers memory or the trash needs to be dumped so does the memory. After years the memory can become full and the negative memories or experiences can not be hidden in the unconscious any longer therefore spilling into the conscious. This leads to a number of issues, behaviors and problems. Some people turn to food, others turn to drugs or alcohol or some other type of negative behavior. Without the issues removed and dealt with the individual will likely carry on the negative behavior whatever it may be. Now hypnotherapy certainly does not make a person forget these experiences, but it can help them cope with the past and place the memories or experiences in the appropriate place. Think of it as a pile of trash, it does not belong in the living room, yet when moved to the trash can the person does not forget they took out the trash. They simply dealt with it appropriately and moved it accordingly. Hypnotherapy helps the individual do the same thing with the issues that are causing them trouble in their daily life.

Stop Smoking with Hypnosis / Hypnotherapy
21. March 2008 by admin.
It seems that the world is trying very hard to make everyone stop smoking with the rising costs and bans across the nation. Along with all the negative publicity smoking is also very bad for health making the stakes even higher for the smoker. After most smokers have tried the nicotine patches, gums and every other product they find themselves frustrated as well as smoking. Many give up and feel that they are stuck by their addiction. There is a way that can help people leave the nasty habit behind and without the withdrawals or other problems. Hypnotherapy or hypnosis has helped thousands of people lay cigarettes down and never look back.
Smoking just like other addictive substances is a psychological as well as physical addiction. There are cravings that can cause headaches, muscle aches and a number of other unpleasant side effects. Hypnosis has been helping people cope with a number of ailments for many years, in fact the past century. While the professionals are mixed on the terms and methods of hypnosis no one denies that it works. How it works is however a mystery and this is the reason for many professionals to refute it. People do not like to implement or promote something that they can not explain, while most others are not concerned as long as they see results.
Hypnotherapy is a term that is used today to detail the mental healing as well as the induced state of hypnosis. During the altered state of hypnosis a trained Hypnotherapist assists their client with achieving a relaxed state in which they can change their thoughts, cravings and feelings about particular things. Science has proven that during a hypnotherapy session individuals are very receptive to changes and suggestions such as the fact that they will not longer have cravings or that nicotine is a part of their daily life. Many are amazed at the fact that after only one or two hypnotherapy sessions that they had rather have a bottle of water rather than puffing on a cigarette. This is because the brain is what makes us crave something and when the hard wiring or internal workings of the mind are changed so are the desires of the person.
Now some might think that hypnosis or hypnotherapy is a cure all and it is not. There is no magic pill or wand that will wave and automatically release the desire to smoke, drink or over eat. It would be nice, but the person must have the desire to cease smoking and help themselves. It is important that each individual enter hypnotherapy with a positive regard in order to change their bad habit. Just like anything else if a person enters with a negative attitude or believing that they will fail, they likely will. It is no different for smokers. It is imperative that the person is entering the therapy with the desire and for themselves, no one else.
Finding a trained Hypnotherapist is important, be sure to ask the individual what types of issues that they treat and their training. Not all states require licensure as a Hypnotherapist, so training is important.
